Professores da LIL participam de evento na Argentina

I Teaching English to Young Learners Conference aconteceu de 13 a 15 de maio último, em Buenos Aires e as professoras da LIL Ana Claudia, Vivian e Mária estiveram presentes.

“Conferences are becoming a tradition in our school. That is the best way to make sure our methodology really comes along with education around the world, and I can assure that we work in an efficient and different way! I am proud of representing Language in Life in Buenos Aires and discussing about the future of English teaching for kids.

I could learn a lot, discuss, exchange ideas and philosophies, and also feel like a real teacher. Our school is not only a school, it is a concept of learning through living. And traveling to learn is pretty much what we believe as living the language.

To be with my friends and co-workers in a conference like that was very important, too. As a team, we improved a lot and I am sure that it will provide our students the best teachers they have ever had!

Another conference is coming, this time in Curitiba, and one more time we will be representing Language in Life and showing that we really believe in our work!”

Teacher Ana Claudia Araujo

“It is really difficult for me to describe in words the amazing experience we had the opportunity to go through in Buenos Aires. As a first hand teacher in a conference I could see the importance of attending these events, as we had the opportunity to learn so many new things and we could also make sure that we are already doing things right with our students. The many great lectures and the so many good teachers we were able to listen to have inspired me to continue teaching and learning more and more everyday. Also, it was really important for me to spend time with my co-workers, who continue to amaze me with their will to learn. I guess I can say that I came back from Buenos Aires as a renewed teacher and I can’t wait for the next conference we’ll attend to.”

Teacher Vivian Kono

“The Teaching English to young learners conference in Buenos Aires had a slogan that said ‘Empowering teachers to empower students!’ and that was exactly what happened in those 3 days in May, 2011. It was the first conference I’ve been to and I found it very empowering indeed. The lectures about Internet and storytelling were the most successful. And some of the lectures such as about games, class management, recycling and many others were not something new for us! We could see how innovative and modern Language in Life is and what a wonderful work we do. I came back empowered to teach and I became even more proud of our modern and functional methodology.”
